Hi there! My name is Megan Daberko and I am the owner here at Prickly Pear Pups. I have been involved with breeding Australian Shepherds since 2019, when what started out as getting my first pet aussie, turned into a love for the breed and wanting to raise my own. Our main priority is ensuring the health and well-being of all our animals from birth until they leave with their forever family. I have a very small program with only one male and four females. First and foremost my dogs are my pets! They will live their life here with me on the farm forever.
WORRIED ABOUT SCAMS?
We put together a few ways to check to see if you are getting scammed. Ask for references! See if the breeder has pictures of their facilites. Will the breeder help you with transportation/meeting up/ground/or flight nanny? A scammer will not offer pet insurance.
See if the breeder uses any breeder software. Ask for pictures of the parents. Ask for unposed pictures of the pup you are interested in. Ask for pedigrees and health testing. Even go as far as asking for a picture of the pup you’re interested in with your name written on a paper and date.
